Gwyd the Unusual

Gwyd is a stage/film/improv actor that has turned his focus to the sideshow art forms that he prefers. His list of sideshow skills fall under the freak heading. Along with Glasswalking and bed of nails work, he performs as a Human Blockhead, able to shove 5” nails up his nose, put out lit cigarettes on his tongue and set off steel animal traps by putting his hands in them. He is also a very accomplished professional stage illusionist/closeup magician and escape artist having worked for greats such as David Copperfield. Also a fire performer, he is skilled in fire poi, meteor, staff and claws. His character work is one of his greatest strengths. As a theatre student in college, he concentrated on dialect and improv, using them to fully flesh out his character portrayals and making them completely solid. He was able to further hone his character work as a professional street performer for Busch Entertainment Corp, staging 6 murders a day in a completely improved period show.
As he has almost 20 years in improv and live audience participation shows, Gwyd knows what the audience wants and just how to give it to them. He is loud, a little obnoxious and abrasive, but overall…A lot of fun to watch!
